Stonehenge is Britain's best known monument. It's past is engimatic. Stonehenge is associated by many with Druids, but the site is probably far older than our current and popular understanding of Druidism. Like the Great Pyramid of Cheops, it too can be measured and found to have mathematical and geometric common denominators with other sites around the world, astronomical and solar alignments, and has been found to be used as an accurate predictor of eclipses. Professor GS Hawkins has used a computer to examine and confirm these alignments and other researchers such as John Michell and Paul Devereux have used more esoteric means to understand the forgotten language of the stones.
